Instructions for use<\/p>

Dosage form:<\/strong> Syrup.
Composition:<\/strong>
Ferrous sulfate \u2013 0.962 g, equivalent to iron content;
Diluted hydrochloric acid \u2013 1.95 g;
Ascorbic acid \u2013 0.52 g;
Aloe juice syrup \u2013 up to 130 g;
(1 mL of syrup contains 9.62 mg of iron);
Aloe juice contains a complex of biologically active substances: anthracene derivatives (aloe-emodin, aloin, aloinoside), bitter glycosides, vitamins, enzymes, organic acids, polysaccharides.
Pharmacological action:<\/strong>
Ferrous sulfate:
\u00b7 Iron is a structural component of heme;
\u00b7 It is necessary for hemoglobin synthesis;
\u00b7 It is a component of myoglobin and a number of enzymes;
\u00b7 It is deposited in the body.
Ascorbic acid:<\/strong>
\u00b7 Promotes the reduction of trivalent iron to divalent ionic iron;
\u00b7 Improves the absorption of iron from food;
\u00b7 Regulates capillary permeability;
\u00b7 Ensures the synthesis of collagen and procollagen;
\u00b7 Plays an important role in redox processes;
Aloe juice syrup:<\/strong>
\u00b7 Has bactericidal, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory effects;
\u00b7 Contains biogenic stimulants;
\u00b7 Enhances the body's resistance to infectious diseases;
\u00b7 Enhances regenerative processes of the skin and mucous membranes;
Hydrochloric acid:
\u00b7 Improves the absorption of iron from the gastrointestinal tract.
Indications:<\/strong> Used as an adjunct in complex therapy.
\u00b7 Iron-deficiency (hypochromic) anemias of various etiologies;
\u00b7 Increased iron requirements (prepubertal and pubertal age, lactation period);
\u00b7 Alimentary deficiency of iron and vitamins.
Contraindications:<\/strong>
\u00b7 Anemias of other etiologies;
\u00b7 Hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis;
\u00b7 Crohn's disease, ulcerative enterocolitis;
\u00b7 Liver cirrhosis, chronic pancreatitis;
\u00b7 Diffuse glomerulonephritis;
\u00b7 Pregnancy.
\u00b7 Diabetes mellitus.
Side effects:<\/strong>
Anorexia, nausea, diarrhea, tachycardia, skin rash. Blood pressure should be monitored during treatment. If any side effects not mentioned in the instructions for use occur, the patient should consult the treating physician or pharmacist.
Method of administration and dosage:<\/strong>
Orally.
Adults and children over 14 years of age: 1\u20132 teaspoons of syrup diluted in 50 mL of water 3 times daily after meals. Children under 3 years of age: the dosage of the medicinal product is determined individually, taking body weight into account. See table;

The syrup dose is divided into 2\u20133 administrations.
Children aged 3 to 6 years: half a teaspoon of syrup diluted in 30 mL of water 2\u20133 times daily after meals;
Children aged 6 to 14 years: 1 teaspoon of syrup diluted in 30 mL of water 2\u20133 times daily after meals;
The duration of the treatment course is 8\u201312 weeks.<\/strong>
Shake the bottle well before use!<\/strong>
After taking the medicinal product, it is recommended to drink up to 200 mL of water.
Missed dose:<\/strong> If a dose is missed, a double dose must not be taken. The subsequent dose should be taken according to the original schedule.
Pregnancy and lactation:<\/strong> When iron deficiency is confirmed in the body, Alofer syrup is prescribed during pregnancy and lactation.
Interaction with other medicinal products or other forms of interaction:<\/strong> Concomitant use with thiazide diuretics, licorice preparations, and corticosteroids increases the risk of developing potassium deficiency.
Concomitant administration with tetracycline antibiotics, penicillamines, and antacid medicinal products should be avoided, as iron absorption is reduced.
Effect on drivers and personnel working with potentially hazardous machinery:<\/strong> Taking the medicinal product does not affect concentration or the ability to operate machinery.
Special instructions:<\/strong> After taking the medicinal product, it is recommended to drink up to 200 mL of water.
Precautions:<\/strong> Prolonged use of the medicinal product may cause potassium depletion and enhance the effects of cardiac glycosides and antiarrhythmic medicinal products.
Overdose: Symptoms of overdose include weakness, fatigue, paresthesia, pallor, decreased blood pressure, abdominal pain, confusion, diarrhea with blood, vomiting, and cyanosis.
Treatment:<\/strong> Gastric lavage; administration of milk and raw eggs. For specific treatment, deferoxamine is administered orally and parenterally. In acute poisoning, when iron has not yet been adsorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, 5\u201310 g of deferoxamine is administered (the contents of 10\u201320 ampoules are dissolved in water). To bind absorbed iron, deferoxamine is administered slowly intramuscularly: in children \u2013 15 mg\/hour; in adults \u2013 5 mg\/kg\/hour (up to 80 mg\/kg\/day). In mild poisoning, 1 g is administered intramuscularly every 4\u20136 hours in children; in adolescents \u2013 50 mg\/kg (up to 4 g\/day).
Presentation:<\/strong>
Primary packaging: 130 g of syrup in a dark-colored glass or polymer bottle. Secondary packaging: the bottle is placed in a cardboard box together with the instructions for use.
Shelf life: 2 years.
