Dosage form:<\/b> Lozenges.<\/p>\n\n

Pharmacotherapeutic group:<\/b> Anti-inflammatory and antiseptic agent for local use.<\/p>\n\n

Composition:<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Active substances:<\/b> Sage extract \u2013 5 mg; Sage oil \u2013 6 mg; Ascorbic acid \u2013 20 mg.<\/li>\n
  • Excipients:<\/b> Menthol, isomalt.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    Pharmacological action:<\/b> Possesses anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral, and expectorant properties.<\/p>\n\n

    The therapeutic effect of the preparation is determined by a complex of biologically active substances: tannins, flavonoids, essential oils (containing 15% cineole), triterpene acids (ursolic and oleanolic), and vitamins of groups P, PP, and C.<\/p>\n\n

    Tannins, flavonoids, and rosmarinic acid are characterized by surface-coating activity, which accounts for their anti-inflammatory action. Vitamin P reduces the permeability of blood vessel and capillary walls. Sage extract exhibits antispasmodic action and promotes sputum expectoration; the antimicrobial activity of sage oil is predominantly exerted against Gram-positive bacterial strains.<\/p>\n\n

    Indications:<\/b> Used in complex therapy as an adjuvant treatment for:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract: pharyngitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, bronchitis;<\/li>\n
    • Inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity: stomatitis, gingivitis, conditions following tooth extraction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

      Contraindications:<\/b> Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.<\/p>\n\n

      Side effects:<\/b> None identified.<\/p>\n\n

      Dosage and administration:<\/b> Lozenges should be sucked slowly in the mouth.<\/p>\n

        \n
      • Adults and children over 12 years of age:<\/b> 1 lozenge every 2\u20133 hours (not more than 6\u20138 lozenges per day).<\/li>\n
      • Children aged 5 to 12 years:<\/b> 1 lozenge 3\u20134 times daily (not more than 4 lozenges per day).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days.<\/p>\n\n

        Overdose:<\/b> No cases of overdose have been reported.<\/p>\n\n

        Pregnancy and lactation:<\/b> The preparation can be used during pregnancy and lactation upon a doctor's recommendation.<\/p>\n\n

        Drug interactions:<\/b> Not studied.<\/p>\n\n

        Effects on ability to drive and use machines:<\/b> Does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.<\/p>\n\n

        Packaging:<\/b> 6 lozenges per blister. Two blisters are placed in a cardboard box.<\/p>\n\n

        Storage conditions:<\/b> Store in a dry place protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 25\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n

        Terms of dispensing from pharmacies:<\/b> Pharmaceutical product group III \u2013 used without a prescription in accordance with the instructions.<\/p>\n\n
