Combined paratherapeutic agent<\/p>

Pharmacotherapeutic group:<\/b> Expectorant agent.<\/p>\n\n

Dosage form:<\/b> Effervescent powder in sachets.<\/p>\n\n

Composition of one sachet:<\/b><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Active substances:<\/b> Mukaltin (dry extract of the aerial parts of Althaea) \u2013 50 mg; Peppermint oil \u2013 5.77 mg;<\/li>\n
  • Excipients:<\/b> Sodium hydrogen carbonate, citric acid, lactose, saccharin, strawberry flavor, polyvinylpyrrolidone, polyethylene glycol.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    The preparation contains a complex of biologically active substances:<\/b> Polysaccharides, essential oils, flavonoids (quercetin, kaempferol), coumarins, anthocyanins, organic acids (citric, malic, salicylic), vitamin C, pectins, carotene.<\/p>\n\n

    Pharmacological action:<\/b>
    \n\"Mukaltin\" effervescent powder exhibits expectorant, soothing (mucous membrane softening), and anti-inflammatory properties.
    \nThe expectorant effect of the preparation is provided by the dry extract of the aerial parts of Althaea \u2013 Mukaltin, which enhances the movement of the ciliary epithelium of the bronchial mucosa and bronchial mucus secretion, liquefies phlegm, and facilitates its clearance from the respiratory tract.
    \nPeppermint oil is characterized by bactericidal, antimicrobial, and expectorant actions and relieves spasms, thereby enhancing the pharmacological activity of Mukaltin. It reduces inflammatory processes in the respiratory tract and runny nose during cold symptoms.
    \nThe preparation exerts a softening action on mucous membranes, thereby reducing respiratory tract mucosal irritation and inflammation, and accelerating the regeneration of damaged mucosa.<\/p>\n\n

    Pharmacokinetics:<\/b> The degree of absorption depends on the ingested dose; it is primarily absorbed from the duodenum and small intestine.<\/p>\n\n

    Indications:<\/b> Used in complex therapy as an adjuvant treatment for acute and chronic respiratory tract diseases:<\/p>\n

    • Bronchitis;<\/li>\n
    • Pneumonia;<\/li>\n
    • Bronchiectasis;<\/li>\n
    • Tracheitis;<\/li>\n
    • Laryngitis;<\/li>\n
    • Tonsillitis (Angina).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

      Dosage and administration:<\/b> Orally, before meals.
      \nThe effervescent powder should be dissolved in 100 ml of warm water.<\/p>\n

      • Adults and children over 12 years of age:<\/b> Contents of 1\u20132 sachets 3\u20134 times daily.<\/li>\n
      • Children aged 1 to 3 years:<\/b> Contents of 1\/4 \u2013 1\/2 sachet 1\u20134 times daily;<\/li>\n
      • Children aged 3 to 6 years:<\/b> Contents of 1\/2 \u2013 1 sachet 1\u20134 times daily;<\/li>\n

        The duration of treatment is 7\u201315 days, depending on the severity of the condition.<\/p>\n\n

        Side effects:<\/b> Due to the presence of strawberry flavor in the preparation, individual allergic reactions may occur: skin rash, itching, urticaria.<\/p>\n\n

        Contraindications:<\/b> Allergic reactions to the components of the preparation.<\/p>\n\n
