International nonproprietary name:<\/strong> Ginkgo biloba (Ginkgo biloba<\/em>).
\n\nATC Code:<\/strong> N06DX02.
\n\nDosage form:<\/strong> Capsules.
\n\nComposition:<\/strong> Dry extract of Ginkgo biloba leaves \u2013 40 mg (standardized to 24% flavone glycosides and 6% terpene lactones).
\n\nExcipients:<\/strong> Magnesium carbonate, lactose, povidone, Aerosil.
\n\nPharmacotherapeutic group:<\/strong> Angioprotective medicinal product of plant origin.
\n\nClinical-pharmacological group:<\/strong> Medicinal product improving cerebral and peripheral blood circulation.
\n\nPharmacological action:<\/strong> \u201cGinkgo Biloba Neo\u201d is a medicinal product of plant origin. The active substances of the extract \u2013 flavone glycosides and terpene lactones (ginkgolides and bilobalide) \u2013 regulate metabolic processes in cells, improve blood rheological parameters and microcirculation. The medicinal product has an antihypoxic effect on tissues: it supplies the brain and peripheral tissues with oxygen and glucose, improves cerebral blood circulation, has a cerebroprotective effect, promotes reduction of vascular wall permeability (anti-edematous effect in the brain and peripheral tissues), and inhibits platelet aggregation.
\n\nIndications:<\/strong>
\nDyscirculatory encephalopathy of various etiologies (stroke, traumatic brain injury, advanced age), accompanied by:
\n\u2022 impaired attention;
\n\u2022 impaired memory;
\n\u2022 decreased intellectual abilities;
\n\u2022 feelings of fear;
\n\u2022 sleep disturbances;
\nDisorders of peripheral blood circulation and microcirculation (including arteriopathy of the lower extremities);
\nRaynaud\u2019s syndrome;
\nNeurosensory disorders (dizziness, tinnitus, hypoacusis).
\n\nContraindications:<\/strong> Reduced blood coagulation; peptic ulcer disease of the stomach and duodenum; erosive gastritis; acute cerebrovascular disorders; acute myocardial infarction; arterial hypotension; age under 18 years; hypersensitivity to any of the components of the medicinal product; pregnancy and lactation.
\n\nSpecial precautions:<\/strong> Concomitant alcohol consumption is not recommended during treatment.
\nUse of the medicinal product is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation, although no adverse effects on the fetus have been established.
\n\nSide effects:<\/strong> In rare cases, allergic reactions (skin rash), dyspepsia, headache and reduced blood coagulation may occur.
\n\nMethod of administration and dosage:<\/strong> Administer orally with water.
\nTake 1\u20132 capsules 3 times daily. Improvement of the condition is observed after one month. Duration of treatment \u2013 at least 3 months. If necessary, a repeated course of treatment may be administered (after consultation with a physician).
\n\nOverdose:<\/strong> No cases of overdose have been described.
\n\nInteraction with other medicinal products:<\/strong> Concomitant use of \u201cGinkgo Biloba Neo\u201d with acetylsalicylic acid or anticoagulants is not recommended.
\n\nEffects on the ability to drive and operate machinery:<\/strong> The medicinal product does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.
