Elemental iodine exhibits antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including staphylococci and streptococci. Ethanol is an antiseptic and antimicrobial agent.\n\n**Method and conditions of use:** Used as an antiseptic for the treatment of the injection and surgical areas\/skin of patients to prevent the development of bacterial infections.
