Capsule composition:

Active ingredients: Horse chestnut (*Aesculus hippocastanum*) extract – 200 mg (containing 20% ​​aescin); Hesperidin – 50 mg; Rutin – 50 mg; Vitamin C – 50 mg;

Excipients: Magnesium carbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, PVP, calcium stearate.

Pharmacological properties: Recommended for use as an additional source of the biologically active substances escin, hesperidin and rutin. The pharmacological efficacy of “Venorix” is determined by the combination of its components, which complement and enhance each other’s effects and provide a complex venotonic, angioprotective, anti-edematous and analgesic effect.

Pharmacological action of horse chestnut extract is associated with its content of the biologically active substance escin, which has a pronounced venotonic effect. Horse chestnut extract increases venous vascular tone and improves venous blood circulation, thereby preventing the development of thrombosis. At the same time, it reduces capillary wall permeability, improves microcirculation and has a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect. Esculin stimulates the antithrombotic activity of blood serum and increases antithrombin production in the reticuloendothelial system of blood vessels. Escin reduces blood viscosity. Horse chestnut extract slows down the blood coagulation process.

Hesperidin has a vasotonic effect, increases capillary strength and reduces capillary wall permeability. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and analgesic effects, reduces edema, and improves blood rheological parameters and peripheral blood circulation. The effect of hesperidin develops gradually but is long-lasting.

Rutin (vitamin P), in combination with ascorbic acid, reduces capillary permeability, strengthens vascular walls and reduces platelet aggregation. It has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects and participates in redox processes. In addition, rutin reduces exudation of the fluid component of plasma and diapedesis of blood cells through the vascular wall; it also has choleretic and mild antihypertensive effects.

Vitamin C participates in the regulation of redox processes, carbohydrate metabolism, blood coagulation and tissue regeneration, and contributes to increased resistance of the body. In addition, it promotes the utilization of carbohydrates and proteins, the absorption of iron from food, and the synthesis of steroid hormones; it participates in blood coagulation and metabolic processes, including the synthesis of vitamin B₁₂. It increases the body’s resistance to infectious diseases and reduces vascular wall permeability. By participating in these processes, vitamin C influences inflammatory and allergic reactions and promotes reparative and protective processes in the body. It reduces blood cholesterol levels and contributes to the normalization of blood pressure.

Indication: Used as an adjunct in combination therapy.

For the prevention of the sensation of heaviness, swelling, and pain in the lower limbs.

• For the prevention of hemorrhoid recurrence associated with constipation.

Contraindications: Individual intolerance to any of the components of the medicinal product, pregnancy, lactation, severe renal diseases.

Side effects: In rare cases, allergic reactions and gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, dyspepsia, diarrhea) may occur.

Method of administration and dosage: Adults aged 18 years and over should take 1 capsule 2–3 times daily, during or after meals, with water. The duration of treatment is 1–2 months. If necessary, the course may be repeated several times during the year.

Interaction with other medicinal products: Concomitant use of horse chestnut extract with indirect anticoagulants and other medicinal products with antithrombotic effects enhances their action; therefore, combined use is not recommended.

Concomitant use with antibiotics of the aminoglycoside group may result in an increase in their nephrotoxic effect.

Concomitant administration of cephalosporins reduces the binding of horse chestnut extract to plasma proteins.

Overdose: No data are available. An increase in the severity of side effects may occur. In case of administration at high doses, the medicinal product should be discontinued and symptomatic treatment should be provided as directed by a physician.

Missed dose: In case of a missed dose, a double dose should not be taken. The subsequent dose should be taken according to the original dosing schedule.

Effects on the ability to drive and operate machinery: Use of the medicinal product does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.

Storage conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in a dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of children.

Presentation: 10 capsules in a PVC/Al blister, 3 blisters in a cardboard box together with the package leaflet.

Shelf life: 3 years.

Do not use the product after the expiration date or if defects are detected during visual inspection.
