Instructions for use

Dosage form: Solution for external use.
Composition: (per 50 mL)
Capsicum tincture – 45 mL
Menthol – 3 g
Eucalyptus oil – 1 mL
Excipient: Polyvinylpyrrolidone.
Description: A transparent red liquid with a strongly pungent taste and the characteristic odor of eucalyptus and menthol. The presence of sediment is acceptable.
Pharmacological action:
“Neoartri” possesses local irritant, anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic, antiseptic, and analgesic properties.
The pharmacological activity of the medicinal product is attributable to the irritant effect of its components on skin receptors, which induces reflex responses.
Capsicum tincture contains a complex of biologically active substances, predominantly the alkaloid capsaicin, which determines the local irritant effect of the medicinal product and, when rubbed onto intact skin, produces a sensation of warmth.
Menthol stimulates cold-sensitive receptors and reduces pain. The initial sensation of cold is soon replaced by a sensation of warmth. Eucalyptus oil has a local irritant and moderate anti-inflammatory effect.
Indications: Used as an adjunctive medicinal product in complex therapy for arthritis, plexitis, radiculitis, myositis, myalgia, and tenosynovitis.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the medicinal product.
Warning: Do not rub the medicinal product onto areas where the integrity of the skin is compromised!
Adverse reactions: Allergic reactions may occur.
In cases of hypersensitivity to menthol, rash and contact dermatitis may develop.
Method of administration and dosage: Rub into the painful area 2–3 times daily. After application, keep the area warm by wrapping it.
Overdose: No cases of overdose have been reported.
Pregnancy and lactation: “Neoartri” may be used during pregnancy and lactation.
Effects on the ability to drive and operate machinery: Does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.
Presentation:
Primary packaging: 50 mL of solution in a dark orange glass or polymer bottle.
Secondary packaging: 1 bottle in a cardboard box together with the package leaflet and a polyethylene glove.
Shelf life: 3 years.
The medicinal product must not be used after the expiry date.
Storage conditions: Store protected from light and out of the reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25ºC.
Dispensing conditions: Pharmaceutical product Group III – may be used without a physician’s prescription in accordance with the package leaflet.
