Dosage form: Spray for external use.

Pharmacotherapeutic group: Antiparasitic (pediculicide) agent.

Composition: Active substances: Chamomile flower extract, clove bud extract, eucalyptus oil, peppermint oil, rosemary oil, ylang-ylang oil, lavender oil, sodium chloride, acetic acid, benzyl alcohol.

Pharmacological action: The mechanism of action of "Paranol" is completely different from that of chemical pediculicides: the solution obstructs the respiratory tracts of insects, suffocating and eliminating the parasites. Under the action of the solution, a film encapsulates the louse eggs (nits), weakening their attachment to the hair shafts. The acidic environment also helps dissolve the adhesive substance securing the nits to the hair, facilitating their removal by combing or washing.

The natural essential oils and botanical extracts in the formulation reduce skin inflammation, itching, and allergic reactions caused by louse saliva, promote the restoration of damaged skin and hair structure, and enhance metabolic processes in the scalp.

Indications: Used in complex therapy as an adjuvant treatment. Pediculosis capitis (agent against head lice and nits).

Dosage and administration: Apply the spray to dry hair. Shake the bottle thoroughly before use and spray onto unwashed hair until slightly moistened.

Distribute the preparation evenly through the hair and massage into the scalp, ensuring all areas are thoroughly covered. Wrap the hair and leave the solution on for at least 30 minutes (extending the duration up to 1 hour is recommended). Afterwards, comb the hair meticulously with a special fine-toothed comb, dipping the comb into soapy water after each stroke and combing from roots to ends. Wash the hair thoroughly with shampoo following the procedure.

Repeating the procedure after 5–8 days is recommended to eliminate any newly hatched nymphs from remaining eggs.

Side effects: Local skin burning sensation may occur.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation;
• Contraindicated in children under 2 years of age.

Pregnancy and lactation: Has not been studied. Consultation with a physician is recommended prior to use during pregnancy and lactation.

Overdose: No cases of overdose have been reported.

Precautions: Avoid contact with the eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse the ocular mucous membranes thoroughly with warm water.
Oral ingestion of the preparation is strictly prohibited.

Packaging:
Primary packaging: 100 ml solution in a spray bottle with an atomizer.
Secondary packaging: 1 bottle placed in a cardboard box together with the instruction leaflet.

Shelf life: 2 years.
The preparation must not be used after the expiry date or if defects are detected upon visual inspection.

Prescription status: Group III pharmaceutical product, non-prescription (OTC).

Storage conditions: Store at a temperature of 15–25°C, protected from light, and out of reach of children.
