Instructions for use

Dosage form: Liquid extract.

Description: Dark yellow liquid with a characteristic odor and taste of chamomile. The presence of sediment is permissible.

Composition:
Active substance: Chamomile flowers (Flores Chamomillae) – 100 g.
Excipients: Distilled water – quantity sufficient to produce 100 ml of extract, 96% ethyl alcohol – 15 g, sorbic acid – 0.05 g.

Chamomile flowers contain essential oils (0.2–0.8%) with a characteristic blue color, which include chamazulene, sesquiterpenes (farnesene, bisabolol and their oxides), cadinene, myrcene, as well as caprylic, nonylic, and isovaleric acids. The flowers also contain flavonoids (apiin, quercimeritrin, luteolin and their methoxy derivatives), coumarins and their methyl ether herniarin, dioxycoumarin, triterpene alcohols, phytosterol, choline, ascorbic acid, pectins, nicotinic and salicylic acids, carotene, and other compounds.

Pharmacological action: The preparation possesses anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antiallergic, spasmolytic (relieves smooth muscle spasms of abdominal organs), astringent, hemostatic, diaphoretic, and choleretic properties. It accelerates tissue regeneration processes.

The pharmacological activity of the preparation is primarily associated with its chamazulene content, which accelerates tissue repair processes.

Indications: Used in complex therapy as an adjuvant treatment.

For sanitation (mouthwash/gargle):

• Stomatitis, gingivitis, angina, tonsillitis, laryngitis.

For enemas/douching:

• Spastic colitis, diarrhea, proctitis, hemorrhoids, vaginitis, urethritis, cystitis.

(Adjuvant agent for external/topical use alongside primary medical treatment).

Side effects: None reported.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation.

Precautions: Shake the preparation well before use!

Dosage and administration:
For sanitation: Dilute 10 ml of "Septrila" in one glass of warm water.
For enemas/douching: Dilute 10 ml of "Septrila" in 500 ml of warm water.

Packaging:
Primary packaging: 100 ml liquid extract in a dark orange polyethylene bottle.
Secondary packaging: 1 bottle placed in a cardboard box together with the instruction leaflet.

Shelf life: 3 years.
The preparation must not be used after the expiry date or if defects are detected upon visual inspection.

Storage conditions: Store at a temperature of 15–25°C, protected from light, and out of reach of children.

Prescription status: Group III pharmaceutical product, non-prescription (OTC).
