Kastenol Red 25ml

Composition:
Resorcinol – 2.03 g, boric acid – 0.203 g, phenol – 1.016 g, fuchsin – 0.03 g, ethanol 95% – 3.05 ml, distilled water – up to 25 ml.

Description: A red liquid with an odor characteristic of phenol.
Directions for use: Castenol Red is a ready-to-use solution and is applied undiluted. It is not to be used for hand disinfection.

**General information:** Castenol Red is used for skin disinfection in various bacterial and fungal infections. It also enables the treated areas on the skin surface to be marked. It has antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. **Boric acid** has strong antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal properties. **Phenol** destroys infectious agents and leaves a protective barrier on the skin that inhibits the activity of cellular parasites. **Resorcinol** inhibits the growth and spread of bacteria, viruses and fungi. **Fuchsin** has antifungal properties. Due to its fuchsin content, the preparation stains the treated surface red.

Ethanol is an antiseptic and antimicrobial agent. **Directions for use:** Used as an antiseptic for the treatment of the injection and surgical areas/skin of patients to prevent the development of bacterial and fungal infections. Apply the undiluted solution for 5 minutes. For the desired effect, the procedure should be repeated twice. After application, a brief local sensation of pain or burning may occur. This sensation usually disappears quickly and does not require discontinuation of Castenol use.

**Safety:** Castenol Red is intended for external use only. It is not recommended to apply the solution to large areas of the skin, as excessive exposure to phenol may occur. Phenol can be absorbed into the bloodstream, and high doses may have toxic effects on the body, including dizziness and weakness. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, open flames and other sources of ignition.

 
Packaging: In a 25 ml amber polymer vial with a polyethylene stopper and cap.

Shelf life: 2 years.
Storage conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, protected from light and out of the reach of children.

The use of Castenol Red is prohibited if the expiration date has passed or if any defects are detected during visual inspection.
