Valerian tincture 25 ml

Dosage form: Oral drops.

Composition:
Valerian rhizomes with roots – 5 g;
Ethyl alcohol 70% – q.s. to obtain 25 mL of tincture.
Pharmacological action: Biologically active substances contained in valerian rhizomes and roots (essential oils, valeric and isovaleric acids, borneol, alkaloids) reduce the excitability of the central nervous system and enhance the effects of hypnotic and antispasmodic agents.
Indications: Various forms of neuroses: vegetative neurosis, climacteric neurosis; irritability, insomnia, tension.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the medicinal product.
Method of administration and dosage: Administered orally.
Adults – 20–30 drops 3–4 times daily. Children – a number of drops corresponding to the child’s age in years.
Side effects: The medicinal product is well tolerated. During prolonged use, suppression of emotional responses, decreased work capacity, drowsiness and lethargy may occur.
In cases of individual hypersensitivity, allergic reactions may develop.
Pregnancy and lactation: The medicinal product may be used during pregnancy and lactation as prescribed by a physician.
Effects on the ability to drive and operate machinery: Caution should be exercised when driving vehicles or operating machinery during treatment, as the medicinal product may affect the ability to concentrate and react quickly.
Overdose: Prolonged use at high doses may result in a reduced speed of psychomotor reactions.
Interaction with other medicinal products: Concomitant administration with medicinal products that depress the central nervous system potentiates their effects.

Shelf life: 3 years.
Do not use the product after the expiry date or if defects are detected upon visual inspection.

Packaging: 25 ml of tincture in amber glass or polymer vials equipped with a dropper and a screw cap.
Storage: Store at 15–25°C, protected from light and out of the reach of children.
