Eucalyptus Tincture 50 ml

Dosage form: Tincture.

Composition (per 50 mL):
Eucalyptus leaves (Folia Eucalypti) – 10 g;
Ethyl alcohol 70% – q.s. to obtain 50 mL of tincture.

Contains a complex of biologically active substances: essential oils (80% cineole), organic acids, tannins and bitter substances.

Description: Green, transparent liquid with a characteristic eucalyptus odor and pungent taste.
Formation of sediment during storage is acceptable.

Pharmacological action: Has anti-inflammatory, mild sedative and expectorant effects. It is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms, fungi, protozoa, Escherichia, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the amoeba causing dysentery, and Trichomonas.

Indications:
• Laryngitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis.
• Stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis;
• Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract.

Method of administration and dosage:
For diseases of the upper respiratory tract and gastrointestinal tract: administered orally at a dose of 15–30 drops 3–4 times daily (the drops should be diluted in half a glass of water).
For inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and nasopharynx: for rinsing and inhalation, 10–15 drops of the tincture should be diluted in 1 glass of warm water.
Duration of treatment – 5–10 days.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the medicinal product.
Due to its ethyl alcohol content, oral administration of the medicinal product is not recommended in children under 12 years of age or in women during pregnancy and lactation.

Side effects: Allergic reactions may occur in rare cases.

Effects on the ability to drive and operate machinery: Caution should be exercised when driving vehicles or operating machinery during treatment, as the medicinal product may affect the ability to concentrate and react quickly.

Overdose: No cases have been established.

Interaction with other medicinal products: Not studied.

Special precautions: Prolonged use at high doses may reduce the speed of psychomotor reactions. In such cases, caution should be exercised when driving vehicles and operating machinery requiring concentration.

Use in paediatrics: Not recommended (contains ethyl alcohol).

Packaging: 50 mL of tincture in dark orange glass or polymer bottles.

Shelf life: 5 years.

The medicinal product must not be used after the expiry date or if any defects are detected during visual inspection.

Storage: Store at room temperature, protected from light.
