Dosage form: Syrup.

Pharmacological group: Herbal sedative agent.

Composition: Motherwort liquid extract – 20 ml; Peppermint tincture – 2.5 ml; Sorbic acid; Ethyl alcohol 96%; Sorbitol syrup – up to 100 ml.

"Leoment" contains a complex of biologically active substances: essential oils, flavonol glycosides (quercetin, rutin, quinqueloside), saponins, the alkaloid leonurine, tannins.

Sugar-free, made with sorbitol!

Pharmacological action: The preparation exhibits sedative, spasmolytic, hypotensive, cardiotonic, analgesic, and anticonvulsant properties. It reflexively dilates cerebral blood vessels and relieves spasms of internal organ smooth muscles.

Indications: Used in complex therapy as an adjuvant treatment for various forms of neuroses, insomnia, hyperexcitability, fear, tension, neurogenic arrhythmia, flatulence, nausea, and constipation.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.

Dosage and administration: Orally, during meals.

• Adults: 1 tablespoonful (15 ml) syrup 3–4 times daily;
• Children aged 1 to 3 years: 1/2 teaspoonful (2.5 ml) syrup 3 times daily;
• Children aged 3 to 6 years: 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) syrup 3 times daily;
• Children aged 6 to 12 years: 1 dessertspoonful (10 ml) syrup 3 times daily.

The duration of treatment is 2 weeks. The course may be repeated after 1 month.

Side effects: When taken in large doses or for prolonged periods, the preparation may cause drowsiness, dizziness, and decreased performance capacity.

Missed dose: Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Take the next dose according to the original schedule.

Pregnancy and lactation: The preparation can be used during pregnancy and lactation as prescribed by a doctor.

Effects on ability to drive and use machines: Caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery, as the preparation affects concentration and reaction speed.

Drug interactions: "Leoment" prolongs and enhances the action of hypnotic, neuroleptic, psychotropic, and antiepileptic agents.

Overdose: No cases of overdose have been reported.

Packaging:

• Primary packaging: 100 ml of syrup in an amber glass or polymer bottle.
• Secondary packaging: One bottle is placed in a cardboard box along with the package leaflet.

Shelf life: 2 years.
It is prohibited to use the preparation after the expiry date or if defects are detected upon visual inspection.

Storage conditions: Store at a temperature of 15–25°C, protected from light.

Terms of dispensing from pharmacies: Pharmaceutical product group III – dispensed without a prescription (Over-the-Counter).
