Dosage form: Lozenges.

Pharmacotherapeutic group: Anti-inflammatory and antiseptic agent for local use.

Composition:

• Active substances: Sage extract – 5 mg; Sage oil – 6 mg; Ascorbic acid – 20 mg.
• Excipients: Menthol, isomalt.

Pharmacological action: Possesses anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral, and expectorant properties.

The therapeutic effect of the preparation is determined by a complex of biologically active substances: tannins, flavonoids, essential oils (containing 15% cineole), triterpene acids (ursolic and oleanolic), and vitamins of groups P, PP, and C.

Tannins, flavonoids, and rosmarinic acid are characterized by surface-coating activity, which accounts for their anti-inflammatory action. Vitamin P reduces the permeability of blood vessel and capillary walls. Sage extract exhibits antispasmodic action and promotes sputum expectoration; the antimicrobial activity of sage oil is predominantly exerted against Gram-positive bacterial strains.

Indications: Used in complex therapy as an adjuvant treatment for:

• Inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract: pharyngitis, tonsillitis, laryngitis, bronchitis;
• Inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity: stomatitis, gingivitis, conditions following tooth extraction.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation.

Side effects: None identified.

Dosage and administration: Lozenges should be sucked slowly in the mouth.

• Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1 lozenge every 2–3 hours (not more than 6–8 lozenges per day).
• Children aged 5 to 12 years: 1 lozenge 3–4 times daily (not more than 4 lozenges per day).

The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days.

Overdose: No cases of overdose have been reported.

Pregnancy and lactation: The preparation can be used during pregnancy and lactation upon a doctor's recommendation.

Drug interactions: Not studied.

Effects on ability to drive and use machines: Does not affect the ability to drive and use machines.

Packaging: 6 lozenges per blister. Two blisters are placed in a cardboard box.

Storage conditions: Store in a dry place protected from light at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

Terms of dispensing from pharmacies: Pharmaceutical product group III – used without a prescription in accordance with the instructions.

Shelf life: 3 years.
It is prohibited to use the preparation after the expiry date or if defects are detected upon visual inspection.
