Composition (per 25 mL): Valerian tincture – 10 mL; Wormwood tincture – 7.5 mL; Peppermint tincture – 5 mL; Hops tincture – 2.5 mL.
The plants contained in the medicinal product contain a complex of biologically active substances: essential oils (the main components being menthol and borneol isovalerianate), valepotriates, absinthin, anabsinthin, ascorbic acid, organic acids, tannins, flavonoids, triterpene saponins, hyoscyamine and scopolamine.
Pharmacological action: “Gastric Drops” is a combined medicinal product of plant origin. Its efficacy is based on the properties of its components: alkaloids contained in the hops tincture provide an analgesic effect in cases of gastralgia; valerian and peppermint tinctures provide sedative and antispasmodic effects. Wormwood tincture reflexively enhances the secretion of the digestive tract glands and regulates and improves the digestive process.
Indications: Spastic conditions of the gastrointestinal tract accompanied by pain, nausea and flatulence.
Method of administration and dosage: Administered orally, 30 minutes before meals. The drops should be diluted in one tablespoonful of water.
Adults: 5–10 drops 2–3 times daily.
Children from 5 years of age: A number of drops corresponding to the child’s age in years – once daily.
Contraindications:
• Hypersensitivity to any of the components of the medicinal product;
• Glaucoma;
• Renal insufficiency;
• Organic heart disease;
• Increased secretion of gastric juice;
• Gastric and duodenal ulcer;
• Lactation (reduces milk production).

Side effects: Allergic reactions may occur in rare cases.
Effects on the ability to drive and operate machinery: Caution should be exercised when driving vehicles or operating machinery during treatment, as the medicinal product may affect the ability to concentrate and react quickly.
Use during pregnancy and lactation:
The medicinal product may be used during pregnancy and lactation as prescribed by a physician.
Overdose: Overdose may cause symptoms of intoxication. Gastric lavage and administration of enterosorbents are indicated. Treatment is symptomatic.
Interaction with other medicinal products: The valerian tincture contained in the medicinal product may potentiate the effects of sedative, hypnotic, analgesic and antispasmodic medicinal products. The alkaloids of hops reduce the effects of muscarinic cholinomimetics and anticholinesterase medicinal products. They potentiate the arrhythmogenic effect of MAO inhibitors and the anticholinergic effect of quinidine, as well as the effects of cardiac glycosides, clonidine, procainamide, barbiturates, adrenergic agonists, antihistamines and tranquilizers.
A precipitate may form when combined with lead acetate, calcium salts, tannins and lily-of-the-valley tincture.
The efficacy of the medicinal product is reduced in smokers and in individuals who consume hot and spicy foods.
Presentation: 25 mL in orange glass or polymer bottles equipped with a dropper and screw cap.

Storage conditions: Store at room temperature, protected from light.
Shelf life: 3 years. The medicinal product must not be used after the expiry date or if any defects are detected during visual inspection.
