Composition: Active ingredient: Senna (*Cassia acutifolia*) leaf extract (containing 20% ​​calcium salts of sennosides A and B) — 0.07 g.

Inactive ingredients: Lactose, starch (corn and potato), povidone, vanillin, methylparaben, sodium lauryl sulfate, talc, calcium stearate.

The medicinal product is prepared from the leaves of senna (Alexandrian senna; *Cassia angustifolia* Vahl.; *Cassia acutifolia* Del.; family: Fabaceae). 

The plant's leaves contain anthraglycosides—specifically sennosides A and B and other anthracene derivatives such as rhein and aloe-emodin—as well as flavonol glycosides (isorhamnetin, kaempferol, kaempferin), organic acids (linoleic, stearic, palmitic, etc.), phytosterols, phytosterolins, polysaccharides, and traces of alkaloids.

Pharmacological action: A laxative of plant origin (a complex of anthraglycosides from senna leaves) stimulates receptors in the intestinal mucosa and reflexively enhances peristalsis (particularly in the large intestine), thereby facilitating more rapid bowel emptying and restoring normal bowel function. It does not interfere with digestion.

The drug's effect begins 8–12 hours after administration.

Indications: Constipation (hypotonia and atony of the gastrointestinal tract, sluggish peristalsis of the large intestine, including in the postoperative and postpartum periods).

Method of administration and dosage: For oral administration.

Adults and children over 12 years of age – 1 or 2 tablets in the evening before bedtime. If there is no effect after a few days, the dose may be increased to 2–3 tablets per intake. 

Children aged 1 to 6 years: One-third of the adult dose as a single dose in the evening, before bedtime;

Children aged 6 to 12 years: half the adult dose as a single dose in the evening, before bedtime;

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation, intestinal obstruction, incarcerated hernia, acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal organs, peritonitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, metrorrhagia, cystitis, spastic colitis, water-electrolyte imbalance.

Caution: Prescribe with care during pregnancy and lactation, in children under 6 years of age, in cases of hepatic and/or renal insufficiency, and in the postoperative period.

Side effects: The laxative effect of the drug may be accompanied by colicky abdominal pain. Overdose leads to increased intestinal gas formation and diarrhea. In such cases, it is necessary to reduce the dose or discontinue use of the drug.

Special instructions: During treatment with the drug, urine may turn yellowish-brown or reddish-violet in color. This should not cause concern, as the urine returns to its natural color after discontinuation of the drug.

Interaction with other drugs: Inhibits the absorption of tetracyclines.

Dosage form: 10 tablets in a PVC/Alu blister.

Storage conditions: Store in a cool, dry place.

Do not use the product if the expiration date has passed or if defects are detected upon visual inspection.
