Composition:
Active substances: Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum) extract – 200 mg (containing 20% Aescin); Hesperidin – 50 mg.
Excipients: Magnesium carbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, PVP, calcium stearate.

Pharmacological properties: Recommended for use as an additional source of biologically active substances – aescin and hesperidin. The pharmacological efficacy of "Neovenol" is determined by the combination of these two extracts, which complement and enhance each other's effects, providing a complex venotonic, angioprotective, anti-edematous, and analgesic effect.

The pharmacological action of horse chestnut extract is associated with its biologically active component – aescin, which has a pronounced venotonic effect. Horse chestnut extract increases the tone of venous blood vessels and improves venous blood circulation, thereby preventing the development of thrombosis. At the same time, it reduces capillary wall permeability, improves microcirculation, and exerts a marked anti-inflammatory effect. Esculin stimulates the antithrombotic activity of blood serum and increases antithrombin production within the reticuloendothelial system of blood vessels. Aescin reduces blood viscosity. Horse chestnut extract also slows blood clotting capacity.

Hesperidin exerts a vascular-toning effect, increases capillary strength, reduces capillary permeability, and provides antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, spasmolytic, and analgesic action. It reduces edema and improves blood rheological parameters as well as peripheral blood circulation. The effect of hesperidin manifests gradually but is long-lasting.

Recommendations for use: Recommended for the prevention and relief of heaviness, edema, and pain in the lower extremities associated with:

• Varicose veins;
• Acute and chronic thrombophlebitis;
• Post-thrombophlebitic syndrome.

It is also used:

• As part of complex therapy for hemorrhoids;
• For the prevention of hemorrhoid recurrences during constipation.

Contraindications: Individual hypersensitivity/intolerance to any component of the preparation, pregnancy, lactation, and severe kidney disease.

Side effects: In rare cases, allergic reactions or gastrointestinal disorders (nausea, dyspepsia, diarrhea) may occur.

Dosage and administration: Administered orally to adults over 18 years of age: 1 capsule 2–3 times daily during or after meals with water. The duration of the treatment course is 1–2 months. If necessary, the course may be repeated several times throughout the year.

Interactions with other medicinal products: When taken concurrently with indirect anticoagulants and other antithrombotic drugs, horse chestnut extract enhances their effect; therefore, their combined use is not recommended.
Concomitant use with aminoglycoside antibiotics may increase their nephrotoxic effect.
When administered simultaneously, cephalosporins decrease the binding of horse chestnut extract to plasma proteins.

Overdose: No data available. Exacerbation of side effects may occur. In case of ingestion of high doses, discontinue the preparation and initiate symptomatic treatment as directed by a physician.

Missed dose: In case of a missed dose, do not take a double dose. Take the next dose according to the original schedule.

Effects on ability to drive and use machines: The preparation does not affect the ability to drive or operate machinery.

Storage conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in a dry place, protected from light, and out of reach of children.

Packaging: 10 capsules on a PVC/Alu blister, 3 blisters in a cardboard box together with the leaflet.

Shelf life: 3 years.
The preparation must not be used after the expiry date or if defects are detected upon visual inspection.
